The Manor Park Citizens Association relies on volunteers to connect with and serve neighbors. Please see the list of volunteer positions below. If you would like to get involved in another capacity, please contact us at dcmanorpark@gmail.com.

Website Designer

MPCA is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to maintain the Association’s website. The volunteer must reside within the Manor Park boundaries and be able to devote a minimum of 5 hours per month to maintaining the website; working with MPCA’s Executive Board to place content on the website; and providing technical assistance to MPCA Executive Board members in updating and maintaining the website.

Childcare Provider

MPCA is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to provide childcare for neighbors who attend MPCA monthly membership meetings. The volunteer must reside within the Manor Park boundaries, be 18 years of age or older, and be able to devote a minimum of 5 hours per month to planning developmentally appropriate activities for children of varying ages; maintaining a safe and healthy environment while providing childcare during MPCA’s monthly meetings (1.5 hours/month); and providing light cleanup of childcare space following meetings.

Communications Officer

MPCA is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to disseminate MPCA news to residents and business owners in Manor Park, including but not limited to information concerning monthly meetings, ad hoc committee meetings, and special events. The volunteer must reside within the Manor Park boundaries and be able to devote a minimum of 5 hours per month to engaging residents and business owners about events and issues relevant to MPCA; and attending monthly MPCA meetings and engaging in regular communications with the MPCA Corresponding Secretary to strategize and provide updates.

School Liaison

MPCA is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to facilitate communications between Manor Park area schools and the MPCA. The volunteer must reside within the Manor Park boundaries and be able to devote a minimum of 5 hours per month to developing relationships with area schools and staff; serving as a contact person for communications between MPCA and area schools, particularly related to local issues and events affecting both; proposing areas that MPCA might be able to support Manor Park area schools, and vice versa, based on communications with area schools; and attending monthly MPCA meetings and engaging in regular communications with MPCA’s Executive Board.
