Values Statement

Manor Park Citizens Association
Statement of Values
February 3, 2018

The Executive Board of the Manor Park Citizens Association (MPCA or Association) believes it is incumbent on the Association to issue this statement affirming our values of equality, diversity, and inclusion.

MPCA seeks to promote the general welfare of its members and the residents of the Manor Park neighborhood. See MPCA Bylaws 2-2016, Art. III.* In furtherance of this objective, MPCA seeks to foster a community that encourages understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of all individuals. MPCA believes that broad representation and participation allow us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that affect our community.

MPCA is dedicated to the principle that no individual be disadvantaged or mistreated on the basis of their race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, culture, political beliefs, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, family structure, age, mental or physical abilities, or economic circumstances. We stand against acts of hatred, discrimination, and intolerance.

All individuals are welcome at MPCA meetings and events, and MPCA is committed to creating an environment that is open and accessible to every member of the community.

* Revised to reflect citation to current Bylaws of the Manor Park Citizens Association, as amended on October 21, 2018.
